Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 3, 2026
Hive Fitness is a fitness and wellness app. This policy explains the product data Hive works with, why it is used, and how to contact support.
Who we are
Hive Fitness is operated by the Hive team. For privacy questions, data requests, or account deletion help, contact support@hiveai.team.
What Hive collects
- Account and auth data: account identifiers such as email address, sign-in provider details, and authentication state needed to operate your account.
- Profile and goals: goal, activity level, units, food preferences, nutrition notes, and daily targets you choose to enter.
- Food and water logs: meals, portions, calories, macros, water entries, corrections, and food history you save.
- Cardio and run data: sessions you record, including distance, duration, pace, route status, route samples when available, calories, elevation, and session notes.
- Body progress: weight, measurements, body-progress check-ins, and trend history you add.
- Daily readiness: morning check-ins, streaks, and daily priority signals you choose to save.
- AI coach messages: messages you send to HEX, recent conversation context, and relevant app context needed to answer your request.
Photos, camera, and microphone
Hive uses camera, photo library, or microphone access only when you choose an action that needs it, such as attaching a meal photo or recording a voice message. iOS asks first, and you can revoke permissions in iOS Settings.
Apple Health, motion, and device permissions
Where supported by the build, Hive may request Apple Health, motion, notification, camera, photo, or microphone permissions. Apple Health and motion data are optional. Hive works without them, and it only uses the data types you allow through iOS permission prompts.
How Hive uses information
- To provide food logging, hydration, cardio tracking, body progress, daily check-ins, and HEX guidance.
- To keep app surfaces consistent across Home, Food, Cardio, Body, and Coach.
- To maintain, secure, debug, and improve Hive.
- To respond to support, privacy, subscription, and deletion requests.
Hive does not sell your data and does not use third-party advertising SDKs.
AI processing
When you use HEX AI features, your message and relevant app context are sent securely to Hive's server and then to a third-party AI provider (OpenAI) to generate a response. Hive does not send your coach messages to advertisers. AI access is based on Hive features and usage limits, not guaranteed access to a specific third-party AI model.
Storage and backend services
Hive stores data locally on your device for app continuity. When you sign in or use account-backed features, selected account data, logs, memories, subscription state, and credit state may be stored on Hive's backend services, including Supabase-backed storage where configured. Connections to Hive APIs use HTTPS. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed 100% secure.
Payments and subscriptions
If you subscribe to Hive Pro, billing is handled by Apple's App Store. Hive does not collect or store your payment card details. Apple manages payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund workflows according to Apple's terms.
Your choices
- Change iOS permissions in Settings.
- Use manual logging when you do not want AI assistance.
- Clear coach memory or reset onboarding where available in the app.
- Request deletion of account-backed data by contacting support.
Data deletion
To request deletion of account-backed data, email support@hiveai.team from the account email if possible. You can also review the dedicated Delete your account and data page.
Children's privacy
Hive is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required in your region. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the applicable minimum age.
International processing
Hive's service providers may process information in multiple countries. Where local law gives you privacy rights such as access or deletion, contact support and we will respond as required by applicable law.
